🚀 Release 2.38.6 – Smarter, more interactive AI reporting

We’re excited to share Next Lab 2.38.6, a combined release that significantly expands the AI-powered reporting experience with more flexibility, interactivity, and smarter AI assistance.

✨ Regenerate report sections with AI

While editing a report, you can now re-generate individual sections with AI suggestions instead of manually rewriting them.

This includes support for suggestions based on:

  • Drill summaries
  • Key insights
  • Existing report context

🤖 Compare suggestions from multiple AI models

Report section suggestions are now even smarter.

Instead of receiving a single suggestion, you’ll now get one suggestion from each AI model:

  • OpenAI
  • Anthropic (Claude)
  • Mistral

This lets you compare different approaches and choose the version that best fits your report.

💬 Dedicated AI chat for reports

Session reports now include their own interactive AI chat, similar to experiences like AI Focus Group and Super Seven.

This allows you to:

  • Ask follow-up questions
  • Refine report ideas
  • Explore specific insights
  • Discuss report content interactively

🔄 Re-generate full reports

You can now re-generate an entire report without starting over from scratch.

📍 Generate reports directly from sessions

Report generation is now available directly from the session view, making the workflow faster and easier.

🎨 Better editing experience

We improved the report editing workflow:

  • Automatic scroll when entering edit mode
  • Cleaner report actions and navigation
  • Better usability while refining reports

🖼️ Better reporting from external resources

We improved support for richer report inputs:

  • Uploaded images
  • Text context
  • Miro board content

We also added guidance to help users generate better reports from Miro.

🐞 Fixes & improvements

This release also includes several UI refinements, usability fixes, and minor bug fixes to improve the overall reporting experience.
